16 to 19 Tuition Fund

This academic year, Notre Dame has been allocated funds from the ESFA to support small group tuition for Sixth Form students whose learning has been disrupted due to COVID 19. Any student who has not achieved a grade 4 in English and Maths will get extra weekly tuition, in addition to their planned curriculum.

Changes to Return to School in January 2021

Dear Parents, Carers and students of Notre Dame and St BonifaceChanges to the start of term, following Government adviceI am writing briefly to update you all on how our school opening plans have changed for next week following yesterday’s announcement by the Secretary of State for Education.Our schools will move to online education only for next week, beginning Monday 4th January, for all Year groups.  We will deliver lessons at the time of the usual school timetable, but all will be through remote access via Google classroom.  Year 11 and 13 students are now also required to stay at home next week and we will provide online lessons for them as a priority.  Year 11 mock exams at Notre Dame have been postponed by one week and Mrs Clancy has written separately to that Year group with details and a new exam timetable.All students in Years 11 and 13 will return to face to face education in school on Monday 11th January.  All other Year groups will receive online education during that week and should not come to school until Monday 18th January.Public exams for some Year 10 and 12 students at Notre Dame will still continue as planned on Thursday 7th January (Year 10 Child Development), Friday 8th January (Year 12 Health and Social Care) and Monday 11th January (Year 10 BTEC Sport). Message from Virgin Healthcare – Vaccinations 3rd March

Dear Parents,

Your year 9 child is now due their important routine childhood vaccinations Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio (DTP) and Meningitis ACWY (MenACWY). We are also alongside this, catching up with all Year 10 pupils who did not receive their vaccinations last academic year due to Coronavirus, any consents received last year are still valid. These will take place in school by our team of qualified nurses.

Over £600 raised for CAFOD Coronavirus Appeal

This summer, Notre Dame’s Young Spiritual Leaders challenged students and staff to raise awareness and funds for CAFOD’s Coronavirus appeal, supporting those in the developing world who are facing particular difficulties during a challenging time.
