A-Level students got creative in the capital this term, as the Art Department took them on a visit to Galleries and Exhibitions in London.

Designed to complement and enhance the learning objective for AS and A2 courses, students experienced first-hand a wide and exciting variety of essential and influential work which helped to enrich their own coursework and meet the assessment criteria for their courses.

Travelling by train, students spent their three days away visiting the National Portrait Gallery, the Tate Modern, the Tate Britain, the Natural History Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Students also had the opportunity to visit Covent Garden, and indulge in a little shopping!

In the evening, they watched the Tony award winning musical ‘Kinky Boots’ at the Adelphi Theatre.

Students had a great time away and found the trip invaluable, with photography students capturing some amazing images for their portfolios, and Fine Art students managed to fill their sketchbooks.
