Teacher of Geography, required from September 2019
1.0FTE Permanent (flexible working requests may be considered), MPS/UPS

We are seeking a committed and aspirational teacher to join our Geography team who will embrace our ethos, contribute to school improvement plans and raising standards in Geography, work hard to ensure students make good progress and spread a passion for their subject to secure continued participation at options and beyond to promote subject-related career pathways.

Applications are welcome from newly qualified teachers, as well as those wanting to broaden their experience.

The successful candidate will be able to inspire, enthuse, engage, motivate and challenge students to raise achievement at all levels within a school culture of high performance and expectations of both staff and students.

We expect successful candidates to show within their application, and at interview, their passion for working with young people and be able to explain how they will embrace and support the school’s ethos.

More experienced candidates will be expected to demonstrate a proven record of successful exam outcomes for students at GCSE and A Level and that they are an exceptional teacher. PGCE students will be asked to provide evidence at interview to demonstrate good practice within their placement school(s).
