CATERING APPRENTICESHIP – January/February 2017 start

Fixed-Term Contract for 15 months, 32.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term time only), Apprentice Pay £3.40 per hour, contributory LGPS career average pension scheme

We are seeking someone who has a real passion for food and cooking who is looking to begin their career in the catering profession.  The hours for this post are 32.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (which is term time only).  You will work towards achieving Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Food Production and Cooking and will be required to attend City College to complete your functional skills.  You will need to be enthusiastic, punctual and reliable and prepared to learn new skills and work as part of a team.  We require you to be an excellent team player who has good communication skills that we will help you develop further across your apprenticeship. The apprenticeship will last for 15 months and upon successful completion, for the right candidate, there is a possibility of employment beyond the apprenticeship.  You will be paid monthly in arrears and you will be eligible to join the LGPS career average pension scheme.  Please see below for the job description and person specification for this role.

CLEANER - January/February 2017 start

Permanent, 10 or 15 hours per week, 41 weeks per year (term time plus 3 weeks), Grade A, (discretionary uplift to Living Wage of £8.25 per hour), contributory LGPS career average pension scheme, Salary Sacrifice Childcare Voucher Scheme

We are seeking an experienced cleaner to work as part of a team to provide the appropriate level of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school. Whilst experience of working in a school and using cleaning equipment would be an advantage, it is not essential.  The successful applicants should be able to follow set procedures, work effectively as part of a team whilst showing initiative and demonstrate an interest in working within a school environment.
