On Wednesday 26 April we have a fantastic opportunity for schools to bring groups of 10-15 students in Year 9 and 10 in to the STEM Centre to take part in our half day sessions with external company, Medical Mavericks.

Each group of students will take part in two hands-on sessions focused around various careers in the Healthcare and Science industries and introduced to pathways such as Cardiac, Respiratory & Neuro Physiology, Haematology, Ophthalmic Science, Medical Engineering and Prosthetic Engineering. The sessions demonstrate that there is more to healthcare and science than being a doctor, with  live demos on willing volunteers and offer the chance for students to participate in activities such as testing hearing, measuring lung volume and looking inside an eye with an iPhone retina scanner.
