The Head Student, and two deputy Head Students are elected by Sixth Form & Staff. They are responsible for meeting with the Deputy Head in charge of Student Voiceweekly, chairing the Senate termly and forming its agenda. The SST represents the overall leadership of students in the school.
This is convened with representatives of each House, namely one House Captain and one Deputy House Captain, who sit alongside the Senior Students and Senior House Captains. Meets termly. Responsible for final decision making on student issues and chairing each Make-a-Difference Group.
MaD groups are convened by the Senate to address a range of issues. They draw on the whole student body to complete time-limited and specific tasks. These may be suggested by staff or by the Senate. There are 6 broad areas: Life to the Full, Enrichment & Innovation, Student Life, Achieve & Aspire, Health & Environment, and Teaching & Learning.
There are five Houses. All students, staff and governors belong to a House. The Houses are the way we organise the daily life of the school such as tutor groups, sports events and fundraising. Each House is named after a famous and inspirational woman and is identified by a colour.

Each House is made up of 7 vertical tutor groups with students from Year 7 up to Sixth Form. Each House is led by a Head of House, Senior House Captains from the Sixth Form, and House and Deputy House Captains from each tutor group.
