Notre Dame hosted another fantastic World Book Day on 2nd March, and this year we celebrated the event’s 20th birthday!
World Book Day is a yearly event which celebrates authors, illustrators, books and reading and is marked in more than 100 countries across the globe.
Students were challenged to take part in 20 activities leading up to the day, including a photography challenge, quizzes and a murder mystery hunt around the school.
The day itself saw students and staff dressed up as their favourite book characters, get creative with zentangling and badge making, and there was a special Film Club screening for all to enjoy.
Every student was also given a voucher to claim one of the special World Book Day books that are available in local book stores.
Judged by Mrs White, the winner of the fancy dress competition was Lauren Moram, with Ellie Kaitiff and Ellie Johnston close runners up!
Well done to everyone who took part!
